Bollywood actor Aamir Khan recently filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police's Cyber Crime cell after a video surfaced online, falsely depicting him endorsing a political party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Aamir and his team clarified that the video was fabricated, emphasizing that he has never supported any specific political party during his 35-year career.

According to Aamir Khan's spokesperson, "We want to clarify that Mr Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career." The statement continued, "We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police."

The spokesperson added, "Mr Khan would like to urge all Indians to come out and vote and be an active part of our electoral process." In the fake video, Aamir can be seen criticizing the PM Modi government for its promise of Rs 15 lakh in every individual's bank account. "Jumle walon se saavdhaan rahe," he can be seen saying in the fake video. The Cyber Crime cell is currently investigating the origin of the fake video, but no action has been taken against those responsible for creating and sharing it yet.
